As a professional tarot reader I love using tarot as part of my self care practice. I use it as part of my night routine and to reflect on my energy from the day. It is also a good way to check in with my own emotions. As a water sign ( Pisces sun and Cancer Moon), tarot is a way to ground me and I'm able to see the situation from a more logical stand point. I also like to journal on the cards that I pull and I can keep track of my emotions. When working with my clients I love giving them self care tips during their readings and journal prompts. A good way to connect with your inner child is by doing a guided meditation. Lay down in a comfortable position and start to picture something that made you happy as child. Feel that feeling of warmth in your heart and through out your body. Think about what brought you to that feeling of happiness. Did you feel safe? Did you feel loved? Did you feel understood? Did you feel connected? Did you feel secure? Think about a time before you felt doubt in yourself. Connect to that feeling and really identify those emotions.
